当代夏日，某城市。迪厅灯红酒绿，人声鼎沸，台上台下所有男女在疯狂扭动。突然，表演高台上跳舞的虹（姚婧 饰）重重摔了下来，被紧急送往医院救治。通过医生诊断得出结论：暂时性失明。好友封平（马惠茹 饰）知道虹在城里没有住房，就把她安排在城郊叔叔家养伤。一天，封平和男友金新（王诗乔 饰）在影院闲聊，所谈内容被后排一逃犯（王志刚 饰）听到，逃犯尾随二人至叔叔家，将封虹二人挟持。虹试图报警无果，恰巧金新酒后来找封平，逃犯谎称自己是虹的表哥，以表妹已睡为由欲支走金新，争执中惊动了小区保安，金新得以进屋。在与逃犯交谈中，金新发现了端倪，他趁逃犯进厨房时，迅速上楼解救被捆绑的虹......。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems?
