Thomas and Thomas are going through a rough patch: they are both thirty-something actors living in Paris. They randomly decide to leave the city and fly away to Kullorsuaq, one of the most remote villages of Greenland, where Thomas' father Nathan lives. Among the Inuit community, they will discover the charms of the local customs and their friendship will be challenged.。梦想成为摄影师的年轻女孩河合夏美（有村架纯 饰）对迷茫的未来颇感不安，而男友相羽慎吾（工藤阿须加 饰）暧昧不明的态度更令她焦灼难平。在某个夏日，她跨上父亲留下的摩托车，驶往那个曾经和父亲一起观赏过萤火虫的森林。在森林附近，她邂逅了经营杂货铺的安女士（吉行和子 饰）及其被称为“地藏法师”的儿子惠三（光石研 饰），并受到母子的热情款待。未过多久，慎吾追随着夏美的脚步到来，与世隔绝的安逸所在，让年轻男女紧张的身心得到放松。 某天，地藏法师突然病倒住院。在这关键时刻，夏美无意中得知了地藏法师和分居的家人之间存在难以弥合的裂痕，他为此饱受痛苦折磨。不知不觉，夏美决定要为这个经常带着笑容的男人做一些什么……。
