"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。载仁（姜栋元 饰）是含着金汤匙出生的富家子弟，从小过着养尊处优生活的他根本就不懂温柔是何物，亦不通与女性相处之道。载仁的爷爷是“盛玄集团”的会长，让载仁百思不得其解的是，爷爷在遗嘱中写道，如果载仁不能够和名叫多贤（金晶和 饰）的女子结婚，那么家中的所有财产将由载仁的表弟泰夏（李秉煜 饰）继承。那么问题来了，这位名叫多贤的女子，究竟是何方神圣呢？ 载仁好不容易找到了多贤，两人之间却产生了巨大的矛盾，就目前的情况看来，不要说结婚了，两人能否成为朋友还没有定数呢。随着时间的推移，载仁渐渐发现了多贤善良和坚强的一面，可是，；凭借载仁那像石头一样又冷又硬的性格，他能够如愿获得多贤的芳心吗？。
