With the help of the BBC's science experts - and a few surprise guests - Hannah investigates the questions the British ...。独居老人邓美娟（吕中 饰）因为常常接到骚扰电话而忧心忡忡，但是大儿子大军（冯远征 饰）及大儿媳（秦海璐 饰）却认为是老人因为丧偶而引发的臆想症。老邓试着跟小儿子小兵（秦昊 饰）沟通，却演变成因为看不惯同性恋儿子的生活习惯引发的争吵。就这样，老邓变成了两个儿子生活中的闯入 者，格格不入地生活在老房子里。随着时间的推移，小区内发生的入室抢劫案以及大军家里发生的恶作剧事件，逐渐让一家人变得警惕起来，而就在此时老邓遇到了一个游荡的少年（石榴 饰），并好心地让他在家里借住。可是事件并没有平息，而是愈演愈烈，两兄弟终于发现一切事件的发生都与几十年前母亲在三线建设中发生的事有密切关系……。
