With his shaved head marked by a tattoo from his favorite film, 1951’s A Plac...。組に反旗を翻した若いチンピラと、彼と逃亡を共にするペルー育ちの日系人との交流を描くロードムーヴィー。『復讐の天使／KAMIKAZE TAXI』のタイトルでＯＶ作品として既に発売されていながら、スクリーン上映を望む多くのリクエストに応え、劇場公開となった。監督・脚本は「ペインテッド・デザート」の原田眞人。撮影は「家なき子(1994)」の阪本善尚が担当している。主演は「極東黒社会」の役所広司と、「平成無責任一家　東京デラックス」の高橋和也。ミッキー・カーチスが本作でキネマ旬報助演男優賞を受賞している。東京国際ファンタスティック映画祭'94正式出品作品。95年度キネマ旬報ベストテン第8位。。
