一次偶然中，弗朗西斯科（阿图罗·德·科尔多瓦 Arturo de Córdova 饰）邂逅了名为格劳莉亚（戴丽亚·加尔塞斯 Delia Garcés 饰）的女子，两人一见钟情。尽管格劳莉亚已经是劳尔（路易斯·贝里斯坦 Luis Beristáin 饰）的未婚妻了，但最终格劳莉亚还是选择了和弗朗西斯科走到了一起。 两人踏上了充满了爱意的蜜月旅程，然而，这段旅程带给他们的却只有无尽的争吵和痛苦。弗朗西斯科有着远远异于常人的控制欲和嫉妒心，这带给格劳莉亚十分巨大的压力。蜜月结束之后，两人回到了西班牙，他们之间的关系因为弗朗西斯科的神经质而进一步恶化，格劳莉亚过着几乎被囚禁的生活。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
