An ordinary sort of life is led by the family through the years with average number of triumphs and disasters until the outbreak of WWII.。故事紧接着上一部继续进行，对舞蹈有着狂热爱好和天赋的萨拉（伊莎贝拉·米珂 Izabella Miko 饰）离开了芝加哥，来到了名扬万里的茱莉亚艺术学院继续深造。在那里，她展现出了过人的魅力，从一帮同龄人间脱颖而出。老师们喜欢萨拉的激情与刻苦，但这种偏爱却给萨拉带来了不小的麻烦，她和同学们之间的关系似乎因此陷入了僵局。 一次偶然中，萨拉遇见了名为迈尔斯（哥伦布·绍特 Columbus Short 饰）的英俊教授，无视两人之间巨大的年龄差异，萨拉奋不顾身地坠入了情网。麻烦还不仅仅止于此，在对于未来道路的选择上，萨拉也遇见了难题，在传统的芭蕾和新潮的街舞之间，她不知道该如何选择。。
